Mabel Clark

Mabel Mae Clark, 91, Robinson, died about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at Cotillion Ridge Care Center, Robinson.

The funeral was 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Noble, with Bro. Bill Rennels and Bro. Phil Young officiating. Burial is in Crest Haven Cemetery, rural Claremont.

Gustave Schmidt, M.D.

Dr. Gus F. Schmidt, 97, Robinson, died about 5 a.m. today, Dec. 27, 2004 at his home.

There will be cremation with no service or visitation. Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.

Sarah Rich

Sarah Louella Rich, 91, Palestine, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29th at Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine, with Revs. Ron and Esther Pfeifer officiating. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Doyne Bartmess

Doyne Eugene Bartmess, 85, formerly of Crawford County, died Thursday Dec. 24, 2004 in Alberquerque, N.M. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Mexico.

Memorial gifts may be given to Hutsonville High School Alumni, Lucille Thompson, 710 West Clover Street, Hutsonville, IL 62433.

Helen Janick

Helen R. Janick, 93, Bridgeport, died about 6:21 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Lawrence Community Healthcare, Lawrenceville.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday a the Emmons-Macey and Steffey Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, with burial in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Wednesday until the time of the service.

Ada Sharrett

Ada Kathryn Sharrett, 83, Forsyth, formerly of Robinson and Oblong, died about 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Inboden Creek Living Center, Decatur.

The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with Steve Ingram and Phil Young officiating. Burial is in Oblong Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Eunice Benton

Eunice F. Benton, 99, Marshall, died about 9:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Burnsides Nursing Home, Marshall.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel, West Union.

Louise Olwin

Louise Anderson Olwin, 98, Saybrook, Ct., formerly of Chester Village West and Clinton, Ct., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Saybrook Convel Hospital.

The burial and funeral will be private. Robinson, Wright and Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook, Ct., is in charge of arrangements.

Gwendolyn Weber

Gwendolyn Irl Weber, 87, Newton, died about 6:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Newton Rest Haven.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Newton, with Fr. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Wendelin. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with a memorial prayer service at 8 p.m.

Jerry Maus

Jerry D. Maus, 65, Oblong, died about 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with Jan Faulk officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday morning until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, Illinois Oil Field Museum or Oblong Cluster of Churches; envelopes are available at or may be mailed to the funeral home.

Janice Pippin

Janice Pippin, 46, Ossian, Ind., died Dec. 29, 2004 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., of colon cancer.

There will be a private funeral service later with burial in Olney. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.

Leo Lindsey

Leo L. Lindsey, 74, Robinson, died about 10:12 EST Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong with burial in Oblong Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by Oblong American Legion Post 219. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. Monday until the time of service.
